Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission Student Representative
The City of Rogers is seeking a student representative to sit on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. The representative should be a high school student between the ages of 15 and 17 who lives in Rogers. This position offers the student representative an opportunity to learn about city government, development, and parks and recreation plans. We want you to have a voice in your community!
The student representative will be the liaison between their peers and the commission members, sharing ideas, observations, concerns, and questions with the commission. This position is excellent for a student in a government class or student council, looking for volunteer hours, or with a particular interest in local recreation. This one-year term will begin upon appointment and end on August 31, 2026.
The time commitment for the student representative is flexible but will include one monthly meeting for approximately two hours. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meets on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30pm.
