Rogers is a suburban community located in Hennepin County made up of 46 cities and townships.


 

The City of Rogers is proud to partner with Hennepin County’s Elevate Hennepin initiative to bring expert advising and other business resources to businesses at no cost.

Elevate Hennepin, an initiative from Hennepin County, is designed to support businesses of all sizes in their efforts to grow, create jobs, and evolve.

Through this program, businesses located in or operating in Hennepin County can access no-cost advising, find business events, and identify local, state, and federal business-support resources.

Businesses can get up to 25 hours of insight or consulting from each advisor. The more than 40 business advisors have expertise in all manner of topics, including:

• Access to capital

• Business certification

• Financial management

• Marketing consulting

• Legal questions

• Human resources

• Strategic planning

• Business technology

• Starting a business

About Elevate Hennepin

The program was designed to support Hennepin County businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest. Since then, it has evolved into an innovative model to encourage growth and an integral part of the county’s economic development engine.

So far, more than 2,400 businesses in Hennepin County have utilized Elevate Hennepin for no-cost consulting provided by Hennepin County and to identify other business resources and events to enhance their business.

 

 

CEO Next

CEO Next is a regional county partnership program available to private businesses in Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Scott counties with 10-99 employees, revenue between $1-50 million, and a readiness to transition from small to large. The program offers three lines of service:

• System for Integrated Growth: 40–60 hours per participating CEO of intensive, advanced research

• CEO round table sessions: eight half-day sessions for the CEOs of selected core companies

• CEO forum events: eight sessions for participating CEOs and other second-stage companies

If your business doesn’t meet the above criteria, you may be qualified for CEO Now, a cohort and class-based companion for emerging growth-oriented business founders and owners.

 
 
 
 

State Resources and Programs

Minnesota's Department of Employment and Economic Development (DDED) partners with counties, cities, and other government agencies to provide financial assistance aimed to support Minnesota's employers and workforce.


 
 

Minnesota Investment Fund

The Minnesota Investment Fund provides financing to help add new workers and retain high-quality jobs on a statewide basis. The focus is on industrial, manufacturing, and technology-related industries. All projects must meet minimum criteria for:

• Private investment

• Number of jobs created or retained

• Wages paid

Job Creation Fund

The Job Creation Fund provides financial incentives to new and expanding businesses that meet certain job creation and capital investment targets.

Companies deemed eligible to participate may receive up to $1 million for creating or retaining high-paying jobs and for constructing or renovating facilities or making other property improvements. In some cases, companies may receive awards of up to $2 million. To be designated as Job Creation Fund business, the business must meet minimum criteria including:

• Be engaged in eligible business activity

• Pay wages and offer benefits specific to program guidelines

• Invest in property improvements and create full-time permanent positions specific to program guidelines and timeline.

• Have other locations outside of Minnesota.
