HydroCorp Installing New Meters For City Water System
Residents who received a letter from HydroCorp were contacted because their home has an older water meter nearing the end of its life cycle. These meters cannot read water usage in 1-gallon increments like the new meters, which are part of the City’s updated metering system, and provide more accurate water usage to our residents.
There is no charge to homeowners for the new meter replacement.
However, charges may apply if:
• An appointment is scheduled, and the technician arrives but cannot complete the work because the resident is not home and the appointment was not canceled or rescheduled ahead of the technician's arrival.
• The City must send staff to your home to obtain a manual meter reading due to the meter not being replaced.
Please note that notifications about the meter replacement letters were included on paper utility bills that went out at the beginning of March and within the online portal, where residents can log in to view their bills.
If you received a letter from HydroCorp, please follow the instructions provided to schedule your appointment so the meter can be replaced, and the city can continue moving toward a consistent and accurate metering system for all residents. Thank you!
