Temporary LP Gas (Temp Heat)
Tanks shall be placed on paved surfaces, concrete pads, or firm earth. Tanks on firm earth shall utilize runners so as the tank is not placed on bare soil.
Tanks shall not remain in use for longer than six (6) months.
The surface on which the tanks are placed shall be level.
Address numbers shall be placed on or near the structure in such a manner as to be plainly visible from the street.
All tanks, whether in use or storage, shall be secured and in an upright position.
Tanks and related equipment shall be protected from damage.
Tanks shall not be placed within ten (10) feet of any egress component, combustible materials, and appliances; and not within fifteen (15) feet of any external source of ignition or ventilation system.
All temporary heating devices shall be equipped with an automatic shut-off.
Blower and radiant type heaters shall not be pointed directly at the tank.
All hoses shall be designed and approved for LP gas service.
Hose and piping arrangements shall comply with all applicable regulations.
